Need your help guys (1/8 onroad)
I have a Savage XL with an OS 30. I have taken apart the engine, when it was new, to clean it out and pre lube the bearings and bushings. When I re-assembled it, I used the Lucky 7 engine sealant on the back plate, carb and carb pinch screw. My gas tank has proven to be air tight and I have replaced my old fuel tubing with new fuel tubing.
I can not eliminate the problem of the engine leaning out over the period of running through a tank only to have it so rich it wont move when I fill it back up. It is rediculous how much it leans out, in a linear fashion, as the tank empties.
A good friend of mine at our LHS recomended for me to try a back pressure chamber that mounts between the pipe and the tank in the pressure line. He told me that it is a common item amongst the 1/8 scale onroaders and that it may be a feasable solution to my problems. I have searched high and low for this item and have not been able to find it, can anyone show me where to get one?
Do any of you think this will help?
Thank you all for your help,
