Try Savöx SC1251 for both throttle and steering. You wont be disappointed.

hi,
is the savöx servo a little bit water resistant like some hitecs?
how can I make them water resistant?

I dont know but maybe you can apply some liquid gasket to the contact areas of the case parts, and screw mounting holes.

The Orion & Savox Servos are the same..
Im running the Orion VDS007 .07 sec for steering & Airtronics Low Profile .08sec for throttle.. both are very good servos.
However the Airtronics (0.08) is noticably alot faster than the Orion (0.07).. either one, they are both very fast.
The Airtronics is noisy, and sounds glitchy and buzzes.. while the Orion is nice and quiet.
I have not tried the Futaba ones, but they seem to have a pretty good review.

just stick with one of these servos: airtronics/sanwa, futaba and ko propo. and you'll save your day at the track.

My choice :
minimum power : 13kg or 180oz
minimum speed : 0.10 sec / 60 deg
gears : metal ( find the servo model with replaceable parts )
motor : brushless if possible
brand : (1) KO propo, (2) Futaba, (3) Sanwa or JR
price : no less than $90.

Our team used SANWA in the past, these where normaly replaced at the end of a seison due to wear. We currently use the Orion and Sanwa (all the same) servo's for the second year

There is a reason why world-champion Collari used a Savöx servo on streering during the last world championships. No other servo could match its performance (holding-force)! I have to say that this was 1/8 scale and not 1/10.

Last year I started with the SavoX 1257 servo's and recently my throttle servo stopped. Due a change of distributor I could not find any and someone sugested me the Align DS620 which is actually the same servo as the SavoX 1257 but it came for just 49 euro a piece. I have bought 2 of them.
For that price I must say they are awesome!
