Default Fuel

Any signifcant Difference between Fuels. Trinity, Odonnell, Blue thunder, etc. I currently run 30% Odonnell. I've ran 30% trinity platnum. I can't detect any advantages or disadvanteges to either brand.

Some people don't like the blue dye BT leaves behind while others don't like the left over oil residue from O'Donnell. Most of the "complaints" you might hear about the most popular race fuels have little to do with performance.

You should give Fantom's new fuel a chance Ralph Burch Jr and Josh Cyrul are running it now and Ralph and Josh ran it at the Winter Nats that Ralph tq'ed and Ralph made the top 5 at the worlds with it and is the national champ...

Give Byron Race Fuels a try.
I've used O'donnell and Trinity, and I prefer the Byron Fuel.

Josh did not run Fantom fuel.

A friend of mine ran out of his Fantom stuff and we asked Josh if he had a quart for the main.

He told us he runs Sirio fuel that they sent him from Italy

Just as a hint, they ran 3% oil in qual. and 4% oil in the main at the 2003 1/8th scale world in Ohio.

regular fuel of the shelf has between 12 and 16% oil.

Things you can do if you get engines for free

I've seen some guys go to 2% oil, but I am sure they would beed to replace many parts at the end of the day.

I have fuel mixed for me with 8% Oil (Morgan's Sidewinder Oil that they use for their fuel) and then 16% Nitro and the rest is methanol. Makes good power. One cant get most fuels here unless someone has brought in the oil and mixes it themselves.

I think anyone running 2% oil will not replace parts for the engine,... its counted as disposable item instead

Yup, I agree, I think the only thing you may be able to use is the case, and the head button, if you are lucky.

Can you imagine the quality of oil they must be using?
