I know the CD-3 is the upgraded version of the LD3 so will the LD3 Graphite parts fit it?

If not are there any Graphite parts for the CD-3

http://www.ofna.com/teamsnr/

Will that LD-3 Upgrade chassis fit it?

The radio tray and side brace wont fit, the rest will (shock towers, bumper brace)

No, it fits the LD3.
The standard CD3 pro (excluding USA) chassis is here As I understand it's the USA version has the 6161 chassis so the 7075 is a different chassis. You should be able to buy it via OFNA as a hop-up, the part number will be different though. Those outside USA who have the HN version of the CD3-pro you should already have the 7075 chassis (mine does) so dont think your getting something different :P heheh.

The chasis looks nice. I may get it one of these days (once I actually get the car, that is). If all goes well, I plan on getting a CD3, the graphite shock tower, aluminum arm mounts, OS .12TZ 5 port and swap for the 3 port sleeve (I already have a NRS 12S5, and I love the black case) and Vantage pipe (the whole silver and carbon fiber deal). But that's once I get this LST squared away

As for the bump start, you probably don't have the box and car set ip properly. The RTR uses the larger flywheel which should protrude just slightly from the chasis and allow it to hit the starter wheel. I know the setup is teh same on the LD3, and I never had a problem with a bump starter and any engine, Redhead or the pullstart OS I had that needed to be shimmed to fit.

Just check the LD3 -> CD3 pro upgrade kit. The HN one has the 7075 chassis, not sure what chassis the OFNA version has, 7075 or 6161. (and dont forget the CD3 one-way does not come with upgrade kit )

Goes good, I'm running the early version STS D5. She's got some hours on it now, I purchased it Jan 2004 and its been raced regularly at two clubs since.
I have a STS D5R to go in once the D5 wears out.

Currently competition is heating up quite a bit - TZ powered RRR's. Thats a good thing though as it will make me work on my car setup. Last number of times (including the 1 hour enduro) the TZ RRR's have faded away. Last weekend I was just lucky, took the lead with about 2mins to go after a TZ powered RRR had the lead for around 18mins .

What camber/caster setup you guys running?
I've been using:
caster - 1mm spacer (towards rear) (14deg or 15deg I think?)
camber - 2deg

For caster I think I have both clips to the rear of the arm. As for camber, about 1 1/2 degree up front and 2-3 in the rear to keep the wear even.

As for the upgrade, while it may have the chasis, it does not have the one way OR the 0.8 gear setup. That's why I didn't bother getting it. Besides, I put too much in the LD3 to convert it.

I also put much into the LD3 but I could use most my hop-ups for the Ld3 (0.8, alloy arm holders, alloy steering, etc) on the CD3 (excluding the radio tray and rx batteries). I don't really think I would notice the performance difference in the chassis.

Interesting - Ill have to have a play. I was thinking if I reduced the caster I was going to have to increase the camber but maybe my camber i. I'll have to start from a low deg and work my way up Thanks

Hi all,

Sorry for my bad english, but i'm not an english man but i'm from holland.

I've the CD3 RTR with a Picco XT15 engine, i tuned my car much whit all available graphite parts. An other graphite muffler, and some alu parts!

I like this car very much.

I've still made an movie of my car (a short one)
URL of the movie: http://mike.dynamic-ict.nl/auto/filmpjes/CD3-high.1.wmv

But i've one question:
I've this battery pack installed on the top of my radio tray with zip ties.
URL: http://shop.the-border.nl/product.ph...6&cat=0&page=2

They broke one time ago, and my car crashed at full speed!
I don't want that again, and i cee here on this forum that other CD3 drivers have an special battery place under the radio tray.

If i good understand it is it one of an Mugen MTX3?
I searched on an internet shop in my local country and i found this:
http://shop.the-border.nl/product.ph...8&cat=0&page=1

Is that the thing i need?
Or if it is not the good part, whitch part do i need then?

And can you search it on the (english language) webhop from http://shop.the-border.nl ?

Thanks!

What you want is this one
http://shop.the-border.nl/product.ph...4&cat=0&page=1

I've wired a "charge" port up on my CD3 so I do not have to remove battery to charge it (wired it so switch must be off to charge).

The problem for my CD3's was the width of the chassis opening beneath the engine flywheel. The starter wheel would contact the edges of the car chassis while touching the flywheel. I ground the edges down with a dremel tool.
