Make ver sure that the RD pipe you are getting is the Turbo II version, with the shorter header and legal stinger diameter. I believe all of the older version had 6mm stinger diameters, at least mine. If it is the older version, sell it or return it for the Turbo II. I did not like the first one at all. The Turbo II is clearly a definite improvement.

So far the best pipe I have come across is the black Kyosho 2 piece pipe. For some reason it works well throughout the rev range.

Racing4Evo

The one I ordered is as follows:

RD Logics:

Turbo II One Piece Rear Exhaust System for FW-05, Outlaw (KLR Version)

Hopefully it will do what I need.

Thanks

Anyone have any building tips? I just bought one and need some pointers on building the car. Also does anyone have a spring rate chart in pounds?

Cheers VRF 201

It looks great. I'll have to save a few more $$. Let us know how the cars handles.

The build up of the car is pretty straight foward. Just pay attention to how you shim the ring gear and pinion. Make sure there isn't to much play between the two gears and you should be fine. Jeffery is still recovering from the Nats, as soon as he gets caught up with all his work we'll try to get set-ups posted from all the drivers.

Congrats to Chris, another A-main victory yesterday (ho hum) at Revelation!

A lot of locals are getting real interested in the CD3!

TexasRacer: You'll love the car, it's easy to work on. Just pay attention to the diff, shim it carefully, and use a dremel to make sure all parts are fitted properly with no binding.

Thanks Kevin...Your car looked pretty good yesterday. Did you get everything squared away on the set-up?

Yep... I think the new sway bar solved most of my problems- my car's a bit tweaked. I did back it in to a wall a few weeks ago, not to mention my fly bys over the berm, so that's probably why it hasn't been as good as the first few days that I had with it, when it was fresh. Thanks!

What do you think about the rear blade swaybar? Also does the pro version come with a oneway or do I have to go and buy one?

Photos of Jeffrey Lin's OFNA CD3 in action are now posted in item #97 in the SGRID on-road conference. There are three action shots, and one close-up.

(There are also photos posted earlier in the same item, of the new OFNA GPX4.)
