Kissimmee Raceway is back!!
I think this is one of the greatest news I have heard in some time...
Report from RedRC:
Having previously announced that they were to close down, we have received word that Kissimmee R/C Raceway is back. The city/county’s original plans to use the land for the site of the future High Speed Rail hub has been scraped and the track owners have received a new deal that will carry them through 2014, with an open option to stay longer. Kissimmee will be more accessible than ever before with Kevin Hutchinson taking on partners Greg Marrall, George Martinez, Dru/Donna Garcia and Dennison Jurawan, who live local to the track. They are already planning once a month events and expect a future announcement for the 5th annual US Open Championships.
I know moderators may think this belongs in the Florida Racing forum. But I believe this track is known internationally, and if your not in Florida, your not watching the Florida forum 24/7 and if it weren't for RedRC, you wouldn't have heard this news.
Take care, and I hope to be attending Kissimmee soon!

I live far, far away, but I'm happy for you guys since it's a great track (obviously) and every onroad track lost is bad for the great sport we (still) have.

That's good news to here that a track like that can still stay around, with all that track surface no one could open a track like that without big money, from all the great racing I heard in the past and now into the furture the Big K will continue to post a great history of racing, now we only need the RC Hall of Fame.
