Congrats
Just last weekend saw more great success for the new tyre brand Contact RC, this time at the European Championship 1/8th in Locorotondo, Italy. Mugen star Robert Pietsch took TQ, fastest individual lap and won the race heading it from start to finish. Robert was using the Contact tyres line and always looked the fastest on the demanding track. For the final Robert chose to start with brand new tyres straight out of the box because his car worked really well with large diameter tyres. This strategy proved to be the right one and Robert led the race from the first lap, completing a tyre change after 24 minutes and at that point he had a lead of one lap over Dario Balestri. After 45 minutes of hard racing Robert became the new European champion in 1/8th on road with his Mugen MRX-5 powered by Novarossi and gave Contact Tyres its first European Championships title at its first international race.

DJ's car from the worlds with the fresh batch of Contact RC tires. Lap times looked good, we should see some really good lap times tomorrow if it doesn't rain tonight.

Same design with less material. From recent testing I don't think Contact is going to carry many lightweights, 3rd in the World is pretty good for "heavy" off the shelf wheels.

There is a limited amount of tires that just came in. Check the site to see if we have what you need. There are only sedan tires at the moment and 35,37 fronts and 37,40 rears.

No 1/8 scale yet. Do in just after the 1st State race. Sorry!!

Regards,

Ran the tyres for the first time this wknd, very good! Very consistant with minimal wear and awsome traction on a low-bite track.

I ran these tires 2 weeks ago @ Blue Diamond. Great traction and very minimal tire wear! Great product!

Default SkyRocket Invitational

Racers, I ran these tires this past wkend at the SkyRocket Invitational. Let me tell you they performed great. I ran one pair of tires in two mains just to check the tire wear and durability. I ran a 20min main and a 45min main starting 61f/63R for the 20min main and 59.5f/61.5R for 45min main. But, the biggest thing a saw was the strength of the rim. If your tired of getting a bent front rim everytime your tire make contact with something! With these tires it won't happen. Look for great things in the future with these tires. Keep a look out!
