RRR front diff. problem

RRR front diff. problem
Anyone ever have an issue with the front diff. and clearence problems.
I was running a one-way, and installed the diff. set up, and the diff casing is rubbing on the underside of the top plate.
I took a very fine file and very slightly filed the top of the diff casing, and it does clear now, but looks kinda trashy.
I have other diff casings I can use, but dont want to go through all the trouble of changing out the case and gears if I will wind up with the same problem.
thanks

In RRR Evo 1 no, but in Evo 2 the diff from the previous models is known to cause some issues. Which model you have?
The new Shimo version/model comes with the front diff and is based on Evo 2. You may check the manual for part numbers, can be found from Kyosho's International site.
Personally have upgraded the chassis and top plate of my Evo 1 WCE to Evo 2 and otherwise using Evo 1 parts. No issues there as far as I can see.

RRR
I have the RRR WC <not the Evo>
I wonder if the Evo, or later models have a slightly smaller diff case?
What I have now works, and works good, but just looks kinda funky.
I have other new cases, but did not want to waste my time if I wound up with the same problem
thanks

That makes you lose 1mm of clearance or so and that's the whole issue.
A mistake I have done twice... ;-)
Leave away the shim sa the belt cannot come of without and go on...
