digital servo
I was told not to use a digital servo for the throttle,is this true. Are there any tips to using a digital servo for the throttle
|
I don't really want to spend more than a hundred for the steering servo. I would just like the best for club racing, nothing crazy!

Using 2 digital servos drains the receiver pack pretty quickly. I personally use a KO 2143 digital high speed servo and a KO 2174 analog high torque servo in my R40. These are the older KO servos and can probably be found for less than $150 for both.

I use a Futaba 9450 on throttle and KO 2174 for steering in my Magic G4.
I always want to have a very fast and quite torquey servo on the throttle because with a slow servo you get a delay from full throtle to brake and that's not very funny when you're traveling at 100 kph on the straight and a hairpin is coming and the servo takes about 6 meters to engage the brakes  On the steering a super duper high speed is not very important in my meaning, a slower servo makes the car more predictable :D |
Is the Hitec HS5925 any good??
rated at: Speed: .08 sec/60 degrees at 6V Torque: 127.7 oz/in at 6V Let me know I don't know much about Hitec. Thanks |
Or what about the JR DZ8450 servo??
Torque: 98 oz/in @6V Speed: .08 sec/60 degrees at 6V Any input on these. |
I use the servos that came with the XS3. Works great.

KO Propo
I use KO Propo 2344 servos for both steering and throttle.
So does Josh Cyrul. Originally posted by Josh Cyrul PSI - I use the new KO servos - 2344 - lots of torque and plenty fast enough for gas racing!! |
