Marc,

do a bit of searching in the yokomo thread, there was a guy that was making the transmission shaft to adapt the serpent 2 speed for use in the Yok...

This is what I would do:

But both the V 1 RR and Reflex.
Use the K Factory hopups come with Reflex to hopup
your V1RR ( like Chassis, upper deck, rear brace, alloy pulleys,
fuel tank, shock towers...... ).

Put toghther the remaining reflex with the remaining parts from V 1 RR, and sell it on eBay.

This will be cheaper is you were to buy a V 1 RR and all the Kawahara stuff. , especially considering brand new reflex NT
has lately been sold on eBay for about $220, that's a great way
to buy hopup parts for any V 1 R

Yes...some of the K factory quality is very marginal. However, if you can accept GPM...then K factory will be ok!!! Kawa quality is in a different league (much much better).....although their alloy pullies do wear quite quickly!!

As far as K Factory, I would stick to the non-moving parts (such as upper graphite deck, chassis, motor mounts, etc.) At least they are static on the car and hold up quite well. The moving parts on the other hand (such as the universals, front sway bar, etc.) have been known to break. They have been out for quite a while so maybe their quality may have improved, but still I would stay away from the moving hop ups and stickk to the ones they stay static.

it would be cheaper to turn the reflex into a v1 rreflex use kyosho plastic and reflex metal like the drop out chassie and upper deck shock towers alloy shafts pullies and so on. then you would have a car with a lower center of gravity and a lot of extra parts. Aint nothing like a custom rc make it the way you want that was just my 2 cents.

BTW. i call my car a V 1 flex now lol

sounds like a good idea to me then you will have a maxed out v1r. the only part that wont interchange is the 2speed.
