Default LiFe rx pack?

Does anyone know of a LiFe 6.6v receiver pack. Trying to see if I can eliminate the need for a regulator in my TC. Thanks.

I've got the Trinity one in my 1/12 scale car. I was thinking @ least 1900 mah for my nitro car enough to last a 30 min main @ least.

Yep. LiFe 6.6v pack weights about 70 grams and eliminates the need for a v.regulator. Price is a bargain too...

Your charger must have a LiFe charge setting. Many of the newer lipo chargers also have a LiFe charge function.

FYI:

You don't need a pack nearly that large for 30mins. If you find one around 1200 that will easily go 30 mins. Before Spektrum and using analog servos, I ran a 60 min main including a warmup on a 730mah pack.

Thanks, just bought a 1450mah off ebay for$22 so I'm good. Could I go 3 qualis' and a main off one charge?

Depends on the length of the main, but a 30 min main I don't think that would be a problem at all.

With a NiMh pack I do drain about 500 to 600 mAh in an half hour, it is possible to run 3 quals and one 30 minutes main final. Running an extra B-main will be tricky...

Just get a small charger to take it with you.

I've got life's available, but honestly I really have never used more than 400mah in a 30 minute main. At the Winternats I ran in 2 mains w/o charging and had 900mah left in the pack when I discharged it.

A 1450 life should be plenty for everything in 1/10 and in 1/8 up to about 1.5 hours, probably longer but some of these super high powered servos now aday's are power hungry.

Working on getting an eagle tree monitoring system for my electric and nitro cars to see exactly how much juice/amps is being used during a run.

I'll post when i get it all done.

you can just charge using a normal lipo charger no need to upgrade , i get over one hour of use without any problem . good thing is life doesnt not have a memory so u can top it up any time to be on safe side. but dont charge it at higher mah setting than what the life is rated at .
regards
Alex
