I hope something turns up..we need our venues. As far as on-road dieing,well..i have to admit, we are about half of what we had 5 years ago as far as heats go, but Surf City, i had 9 heats, and Corona i had 16 heats. It's definitely lower turn outs than before, but i think we are still doing ok. Surf City has a 170' straight...if some of you 1/10 scale nitros wana come out..you are more than welcome to. Huntington beach is a few skips away from Xtal park.

The main subject of this thread is long since gone. Everyone knows that CP is no more and that there is no chance of it coming back.

We're just a couple of old farts hashing things out off topic without starting another thread over something that has been discussed in many other threads like this one: http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...-industry.html

Really all this thread needs is a big sign pointing to GLARC or OC Circuit. If anyone knows of another venue in Southern California for nitro onroad, please post it here so that we may all know where we can go.

Roger, there is some talk of some place in OC that will be catering to Nitro. If all works out well, 1/10th scales will be able to run along with 5th scale racers. If things develop positively, there is a great chance this will open up and all on-road Nitro cars will have another place to run.

Charlie,

Please keep us posted on the status of the OC track. Need to check out your Surf City or Corona race. Sounds like fun.

RAMS will be hosting a couple 2 day races in the not so distant future. We hope you LA guys will have a chance to attend. We'll update it here once the dates are selected.

Make sure you guys don't schedule it on May 15 and 16 as GLARC will be hosting a 2 day event as well, got some guys from the East Coast attending.
