Thanks all for the spare parts reply. I know what to keep in my pit box. I'm wondering, does the pivot ball strong enough?

Luck to have only the engine mount stolen.

The pivot balls are very tough. In years of running 3's and 4's I only ever bent one.

Also once I had to replace one in the rear on the MRX3. It kept screwing in, changing the toe while running. I replaced the arm twice thinking that had to be the problem and even tried super gluing it, still did it. Finally Mike Queller told me to replace the ball. I did and never had it do it again. It was weird. So that's two pivot balls since 2002.

whats up with CSO and all them aftermarket parts every week? Its like you can build another roller with the stock once you use all their hop up parts! What are mugen parts not good?

Mugen parts are excellent. It's just one of the most popular cars out there so of course the aftermarket companies are going to make stuff for it. Most of it is totally useless.

A car that actually needs lots of upgrades is a car no one is going to buy so it would be a waste of time to make anything for it. Sort of a catch 22.

CSO is putting out alot of "new" parts for the MRX5, I'm just not seeing alot of "Better" in any of them. My 2 cents.

The MRX-5 is a well balance car. Mugen Seiki took care of its' customers by releasing the car exactly the way it is (stock). With so many inovations on the current kit (MRX-5) there's no need for hop-ups from any other company . THANK YOU MUGEN SEIKI .

the 5 is so nice, i can't resist to play laps by laps, tanks by tanks.
but the front steering hub(the plastic) is too fragile, the front knuckle and the connecting plastic ball cup is too easy to break, and so many owners get dusting clutch problem with suspected(personally) bad quality endbell.
just my 2 cents!!!!

hope mugen solves them sooner.

The MRX 5 is a real good car.

Choisan, make sure you have the 3 shoe end bell (it's different) I made the mistake and put a four shoe end bell on and destroyed three clutch shoes in a weekend.

Since I put the correct one on I have raced Florida State races at Nuggetts (Arcadia) and at Homestead on the same shoe, once you get it set up right this clutch is really good

thanks for the advice. i didn't notice that is a difference. i have to look up to the manual of the 3d and 4d. but i am so sure that i am not using the 4d endbell to 3d. even many of the 5 owners, they had the same problem with the bundled endbell from the 5. a lot of the cluthes were eaten.
btw, can you try to tell me what is the physical difference of the 3d and 4d endbell?

Its no biggie. I found some in the other 'kit'.

it's just a mail order company trying to promote what they have in stock. IMO
