Where did you get the low friction belts. I have not found a store that has them yet.
Thanks for the tip on the side belt it looked kind of long.

How are you all setting the belt tension on the front and side belts what I mean is how do you know if its to lose or to tight

go to www.brooklynhobbies.com it may not be listed on the site but get the number and call he has them..

well what i did is cause i run the 4 belt and its alittle snug were the the carbon fiber piece that holds the belt tensioner, the slot that lets the bearings go up and down i dremeled the top of the slot so the bearings can go up like 3mm more that allows me to run the 4 belt and i pull the mid shaft that holds the front belt all the way back so the front belt is tight.. the side belt will get even looser after a few runs, with the 5 belt if u push foward the middle shaft to make the 5 side belt tighter the front will skip.

Thanks for the info.

Would any of the other car belts fit or work better? on the side or where ever? Like any of the serpent side belts?

Thanks for the info and help also.

How is everyone doing with the radio receiver. I will be using a Airtronics M11 and wasnt sure if i should do Art's radio tray mod, or vent the case or just leave it be.

I saw pics of swaugers car at the great lakes raceusing the same radio and he had the reciver mounted in a unmoded radio case.

Thanks for any info and help

Default side belt pulley

Until Mugen comes up with a fix ,I make this side belt pulley .The pulley uses all the bearings and parts from the MRX-5 kit.I shipped the first batch to Brooklyn hobbies .Get ahold of Richie .

Default Tire Sizes

What tire sizes are most of you using with the stock setup side pully

Tire sizes for qualifying

Tire sizes for mains 30 mins or longer

Thanks

29 tooth side pulley 66mm front, 73mm rear still seems to be the sweet spot, if your willing to run fresh cut tires every round. The main is gonna be up to the tire wear and layout. Everytime you run the car write down your starting and finishing diameters so you can monitor your tire wear. Other questions for the main, are you going to change tires(1/2 hr in a parking lot can be tough on tires), are you going to mix up the shores to compensate for wear, are you going to cut all four tires to different diameters to compensate for wear? Half hour at the Fort I would probabley start out with the left front .5mm larger than the right and the rear left say 1-1.5mm larger same shore. There is "no tire wear at the FORT" so to say, there maybe to much traction though...NOT! there is no such thing as to much grip only to low of a roll center
