It looks a bit different to the CAD images. In particular the bar type swaybar that we saw mounted low around and the rear of the bulkheads. The shocktower looks different too.

Still, can't wait to see it in real life!

Default MRX5

I have a question abput the new car.
I have a couple of the MRX4X cars and think they are great. My understanding is on the new MRX5 it is using a turnbuckle to adjust front camber.
If that is true, how can you make quick pit stop camber adjustments without removing the body to access the turnbuckles on the new car.

You probably wouldn't want to but if you just had to, you could just adjust the lower pivot ball. Off course, that is going to affect toe and track width too.

I think before a final you have to deal with the setup and not while warming up....

Indeed the lower pivot is still available. The upper can be changed in position with different inserts for the front upright making different camber changes while turning.

I aggree that you "should" have your set up dialed in before final, but many times as you know there are last minute adjustments that are made sometimes during warm up. If you do need to adjust camber during warm up and adjust it from the lower pillow balls, run your final, and then turn your car if for tech inspection, you could be screwing yourself if your pitman adjusts the lower pillow balls out and then the track width is off to where it may not pass tech inspection.
Granted, the pillow balls would have to be adjusted out quite a lot, but the possibility of not passing tech is there.
Club racing is not an issue of course, but I have seen some tech inspections that are extremley tough, and then some inspections that are a joke.

Eeeeeuh … I haven’t seen anyone setting front width wider than 265mm. What’s your point?

My point is, how do you adjust front camber without removing the body due to the use of turnbuckles for the front camber of the MRX5
If you come into the pits and need a quick adjustment, the body still has to come off unless you adjust from the pillow balls, which will change the track width

If you screw the ball out enough to fail width, you're going to have 30 degrees of front camber. With a normal amount of front track width, I doubt you even could back it out that far.

To me, it's a non-issue. I have NEVER had adjust camber during warm-up. Sway-bars, rake, spoilers, rear toe yes but never camber.
