The weather was kind and we were able to run the car last night at England Park. Was alot more punchey out of the corners with the different gear spur and rebuilding the clutch. Hopefully with some problem free race meet we will be on the pace soon.

Thanks again for the help.

Yes my brother and I are running Edam Spirit here in Australia. We have great parts support from Australian agent. We are getting faster and faster each time we have a run and don't feel the car is holding us back in anyway. If I was top level driver the car might hold me back so i don't see a reason for change.

Do wish the plastic in the arms and hubs was a little stronger for us hackers

Good to see you are back Terry, wish you all the best with new venture. My brother now is racing the SPT1 and he is enjoying it.

Thanks

These are both interesting upgrades from Edam. The split design radio tray looks very G4ish. Do see the alloy mount for the steering servo an advantage to stop the flex the standard one has.

The new clutch looks good, is it a different spring? We are using Capricorn clutches at the moment.

I would really like to see Edam address the quality of the plastic and start including some of these updates in an updated kit!

Thanks
Andrew

Bundy-from what I can tell, the new clutch contains simply a harder spring, but I haven't heard any specifics yet.

anyone tried the new clutch or the upper deck conversion? Mine is on its way. In correction to my previous post, the clutch is more than just a harder spring, it contains a new shoe compound and new bell as well.

Any updates on these new parts and what difference they made? We now have the Capricorn clutch working quite well on my brothers car!

Yeah, the capricorn clutch has been good. I found that the original edam clutch was a bit inconsistant. I'd be keen to hear what u think of the new edam clutch ma racer
