No support inside the rim so will distort under load.

Ziggy,
Have you tried the rims yet? They are very strong. In fact they are as strong as the dish wheels. Give them a try. The team has been running them for 2 weeks. So far no issues.

Thanks

Maybe they also using nylon reinforced material in it which will be a little flex but still having adequate strenght. Never know before having/try I guess...

You're totally wrong. These rims not only looks good but it's just as strong as the dish rims. Based on my last race I'll have to say that these are great tires (good tire wear, no chunking, car handled great from start to finish).

hey....

I tried the twister tires 2 weeks in a row...

Now remember,I'm running on a blown off parking lot.....125 x150 ft.....we've been racing there for 5 years..traction is OK....

I'm running an HPI r40.....

I ran GQ's and twisters....back to back,same shore,2 tanks each...

track temps stayed consistent....

I thought the twister tires ran better....more steering, and very controllable......the GQ;s weren't bad....about the same as nitro shoes.......Of course, this is not a prepared course...and I didn''t run any long races..I'm just going by how the car felt....and it felt good on these tires......
