I created a GRP P/S set into a Novarossi engine. I needed to use a Novarossi rod and had to drill up the hole for the piston pin from 4mm to 4.2mm

Check out the P9 Picco engine. It's a great
engine and one of the best bang for the buck
engines there is.

You can take a look to the Novarossi 35-plus-21 with the blue or purple head (non collari edition), they are affordable and are a big bang.

Or take a look to the Novarossi RX21 models.

I'm in the same boat as you on a P/S for grp. and those are the exact engines I'm considering. The classico is in the lead with a $245 price tag, the JP first line 2nd and then the Picco. If your P/S is not too bad off you may consider RayA resizing. A fellow racer has been really happy with his work, and I'm considering sending mine off. For $20 what do I have to lose, the engine is dead like it is.

DITTO - I too run one of each of the above mentioned motors and they are everything that you need for an eight scale. Most brands have a good motor or two in their lines but try to go with a brand that you can get replacement parts for in your area easily. The nice thing about the NR 35+21 & NR RX21 is that they both use the same rod (R7).

JP P7 Black Modified- Add a shim during break-in. After that don't look back.
This motor is great, now hurry-up and get one before they realize they are selling this motor to cheap.
P/S at Serpent America.
