i always wanted to know how does it compare to other brands, such as matrix and speedmind? all this while i never bother about tires and rims, but they do have pros&cons when i tried shift from speedmind to matrix.
for our track,we normally use 40-42 all round, slightly loose traction and its medium size.

I've run a bunch of different compounds/manufacturers this summer, Matrix, Twister, GRP, Kyosho, Jaco, GQ, RB, and Xceed. I've found that Kyosho's are the best out of that list for the tracks I've visited but they are hard to come by. Xceeds aren't far behind i suspect it's the same Japanese rubber. Matrix come next w/ Jaco close behind and GQ close behind that. I really like the stiffness of the GQ rims. Twister's have been good but some of the rims have been iffy for me, the newest order i have are pretty good so we'll see how they fair.
All my opinions .

Those who are using GQ tyres, what shore do you normally use for front and rear in 1/10th and 1/8th? I run same shore 37 for 1/10 and 35 for 1/8th but I feel like my car understeer a lot with GQ compare to other Italian made foam. I also notice its front foam is a bit hard compare to the other brand.

What compounds you run will vary greatly due to factors such as grip level, weather (heat), wear rate/length of main, etc. The last time I ran, the track was fairly low grip, I ran 35 Fronts and 37 Rears. These drove pretty much exactly the same as the Jaco 35/38 I ran earlier in the day. This is with 1/10.

i love the GQ tires, and the new rim design is even stronger and the grip the foam gives is one of the best. I rate the GQ's up there with the kawaharras. This is all i use, Kawaharra for a slippery to medium grip tracks and GQ's for high grip tracks.
nothing beats these two tires.
the higher stiffness of the GQ rims are great for high speed high grip tracks where you need a stable level of grip without overbitting on the front, yet they still steer in very close to the kawaharras
