Default Exhaust Problem

Hey guys I got a problem! Trying to finish my "Davis" car with a 3 port NR engine. WEnt to put a header and pipe on it and NO GO! The header hits the tire. Matt, Joe, Rick, anybody, what header can be used on a "modern" engine to clear stuff on an RC 300 car? I ahve a work around but wonder how I got into this situation...

.....Ned...I dont know know if there is a factory header that will clear the tire.....if there is,...i want to know what it is..........I took a 180 degree offroad header and cut 90 degrees off..then use a silicone "coupler" to gain your header length back......just like the olden days..............we would almost need a header that sweeps forward as it leaves the engine case..........

Default Bodies for Pans (Old School)

Guys, sorry I have not gotten this done yet but I keep putting it off and I know time is awastein!!

I'll sent out one more e-mail, hopefully tomorrow, and confirm what is wanted and ask for some $$ up front. We are looking at upwards of $600 and I'm not in a position to front that much. I'll detail my plan in the e-mail and hope it is agreeable to all.

Current List:
Matt 2-Porsche 911 (1085)

Ned 1-Porsche (0084)
1- TOYOTA Celica (0093)
1- BUD (0090)
1-FORD Capri (s0709)
1-McLaren M20 (S0714)

Lon 1-FORD Capri (s0709)
1-Lancia (s0623)
1-Ligier Maserati (S0717)
1-McLaren M20 (S0714)

Joe P. 1-Kroll (0087)
1-Porsche 917 (

Jeff W. 2-Mercedes AMG (s0705)
2-Lola Ford T610 (s0708)

17 total/20 max will minimize the shipping per body (About $70 for up to 20)

Used to have that same prob with Delta SuperJ, Delta made a header for that when they went to side exhaust vs. rear. There's a guy out in Iowa that may have a few, I'll give him a yell and see what he can do and if he has some, I'll pick them up and bring them trackside or have em shipped and send one your way.

I've got a few old bodies left, unpainted and mostly uncut, got a nice Elfin body. Do you need any bodies to use as templates (on a loan basis) since I may run these someday? I have a lola of some type, a mustang gt, a schkee, few others...let me know.

I replied to the wrong post...see what lack of brains have done...I'll have a look as well besides ordering up a few, but I may have one spare for what you need.

The bodies we are ordering are reproductions (to use a nice term) of old bodies, we intend to run them. If we ever find someone to vacform your templates would be great!!!

Thanks for the reply! I've got an idea that may work on some cars and I'll post pics later.

I'd like to see what you have if you could post a pic or two!

Thanks Matt. I'll take a look at the headers I have and maybe go to the HS if my idea does not work out. I'll post some pics later to show what I've got.

I gotta lot to do to get ready for heading north on Thursday. I plan on testing on Sunday and maybe during the week some to see if I can get things together. How did your testing go yesterday?? Hope y'all had fun!!

Here are some pix of my "solution" to my exhaust problem. I'll find out soon if it works!! Basically I reversed a standard header, using an adaptor to deal with the different diameters of the engine and pipe.
