Luckily for me there is know way to know if it is faster than it was, or has a higher temp, for that matter...there won't be other K&B's to compare the speed to and back "in the day" the temp was determined by SPIT!!

Default SPIT is good

Wasn't there a rumor going round that Novarossi paid K&B to stop making their 3.5? Wasn't the side mount carb the fastest? If your spit lasted more then 1.75 seconds, turn it in 1/8th of a turn. I miss the K&Bs. OPS! Did I say that?

I run MOST of my engines so cool that spit still works for me What II is taking about is my well used Nova Buggy motor I tried in the P8C. Appearently it was so worn that it ran great at nearly 300 degees! At least that's what the boy told me!

I wish we could go back to the "good old days" in some ways but what's past is past K&B 3.5's just look "right to me. I can't wait to run some and see just how "backward" we were....

48t big pulley
20t brake pulley
Spur can be anything from 47 to 44
Pinion from 17 to 20
Normally a 45/18 or close to it is used.
Hope this helps

Default K&B Outboard

Yeah, I had one on a tunnel hull, kinda like a F1 boat. It was a blast! The first motor I got recently was an OB without the lower unit. I felt bad converting it to a car motor but there seem to be many more OB power heads, at reasonable prices, than plane motors. I just got my second K&B today with extra rod, bearings, and a second perry carb, for around $50. New rods are like $25 and Pston and sleeve about $70. Maybe I should try to run them vs. Matt!

Trying to get Lon SR. to buy one of those can am cars, there only $485,000...You just show up and run! Kinda like driving one of the Team Burling P8C's.

I've heard talk of this video you sent out but I guess I didn't make the cut. I want to see it also.

Sorry, Try looking at the post number, in this thread, that is the model number of the second production model from Porsche which had a four cylinder in-line engine in the front and rear wheel drive.
