Good for those hard to reach places. How about 1/72 scale pan cars, in Matt's hands, anything is possible!

Here's a q & d idea of what I have in mind... Please add comments and info!

Did the Benton Harbor club hold a Midwest Series race in 1971 ?? Definitely remember being there in 1972 and maybe 1973. The multi level track track at the Heathkit plant was one of the more unique I've ever raced on , maybe only surpassed by the bi-level track in Cleveland circa 1974 where you had to turn around to see the upper level section that ran behind the drivers.

Heath died about 20 years ago. I have many fond memories of those kits!

Heath folded in 1987. I was part of the Heath/MARC group back then. I bought a couple of bikes from you Rick. We ran in the Midwest series in those early years.
The two level track was cool because the down hill was like Road Atlanta in that some of the cars would wheelie down the hill. The problem with that two level track at the time was that the 27Mhz radio signals would bounce off the metal building and cause dead signal spots on the track. Some cars would take off out of control at full speed with disastrous results. Almost had to stop the event. We moved the race to a high school parking lot for the next year due to this.
