So says the guy who wrecked me at the last club race. Meh. Besides, if Rick gets in on it, we already know who will win.

Well I did it...I made a post about what we'd like to do. Would everyone who is interested please beat feet over there and leave a post. I made it clear this is NOT SET IN STONE, we still have to go to the club for permission to do such a thing.....I just want to see the level of interest. I believe we have enough now to make it viable, but a high level of interest would help. Everyone wins....guys get to have fun, club makes more money, and people get a chance to see some truly awesome vintage cars.

I appreciate the level of enthusiasm and interest...it was a random idea in my head and I never knew there'd be as much interest in it as there is. I'm hoping this goes down, it could be the last time it ever happens (and that'd be a shame.)

By the way, Mr. Irwin....it'd be nice if you could have a display of new pan at the GLC next year. Maybe a kit or two on hand, and explain to people what we're doing with the new stuff. Every person with an oldie might be in the market for a new kit, and we don't want to miss on the opportunity. We'll be setting up our 20 x 10 popup and you're welcome to share display space if you like.

Got news for you bub. I figured out in Dayton how to make my car go a LOT faster. We'll be having a wee rematch next year, I think, and you better hope I don't figure out how to make the flamethrower work.

We ran Matrix 30 rears and 45 fronts.

We will be running two pan cars next year. Should be fun.

My build is different, so I'm getting away with running 45 fronts and 40/42 rears. I'm getting all the traction I could ever want and the tires don't wear very much at all....and I either run stuff I took off the 4wd, or tires I buy from Doug Filo, who sells tires cheaper than anyone else, I think (Matrix).

One thing I still don't quite get. I'm running almost the exact same setup on 2wd as I am 4wd as per camber/caster/tow. Are you guys running the WRC running a similar setup?

The glc setup sheet is on my site under tech/setup. Feel free to compare notes. I think Lon was setting up their cars very similar to what I ran in Toledo. Here is the page:

The changes we made at Dayton were drastic in order to make the car handle properly without flipping like a freaking pancake (REALLY high traction). But we're reguarly setting camber on the front 1-2 degrees, the rear closer to 3, front tow about -2, rear tow 2, and lately we've been running 0 caster. And the tire wear is fairly even and stays that way. Maybe it's a question of weight distribution, or we don't have an "articulated" front, I'm not entirely sure.

That looks like it would be a real durable front end. Thank you for posting your work.
