I wonder if there wouldn't be a difference in left en right steering characteristics with the servo placed on the right side of the rocker? As there is more weight on the right side then the left of the rocker?

that is offset a bit by the pipe, there are some that have converted from right side to a standup servo and direct actuation via servo saver.

that the pipe counters this, I do not think that the chassis is tweaked by the position of the servo. It is just a matter of balance and a lay down servo lowers the Center of gravity, that is the only reason. It is a trend / design that many 2wd pan 1:8IC manufacturers are making. I hope this clarifies

I'll be building my P8C this week, and if all goes well, test it out at Crystal Park later this month.

I got my P8C all done and ready for the track. I will post some photos here soon. the car was very easy to build, with only a couple of minor issues, mainly with the diff output shafts being a little too long (a little grinding too care of that). I placed an assembly guide here http://www.motonica-usa.com/support.html and if anyone is interested, kits are in stock. If I have time, I'll hit the track this weekend, if not next weekend for sure.

Here's my car:

I got one of the first combo kits, which includes the engine and pipe shown. It's a Novarossi based 3 port with standard plug. Looks like a good spec type motor to me.

Email info@motonica-usa.com for pricing. Kits are in stock.

Yes, front caster is adjustable. Just loosen the 3 screws and rotate the hub mounts. There are marks on the bulkhead for accurate adjustment and setting. Front (and rear) camber, width, and toe are also adjustable.

Garen,
very nice build, did you use the soft or hard rubber do-nuts in the front flex plate?
