Thanks for the heads up Dennis. If I understand it right, I can replace the 60217 header that comes with the 61217 inline pipe to the longer 60215 header?

The thing is the current pricing on the new pipe is a huge jump when compared to the older pipes. It now makes it on par with the Nova inline pipes in terms of pricing.

I do understand the pricing thing, as for the moment it is limited production.
the price increase is a reflection of economies of scale
you also need to compare the direct order pricing with the direct pricing on the older 615. Then take into account what the dealers are selling 615's for. I'm sure the 617's will be competitively priced from the dealers. If RD under cut their dealers with direct sales no dealer would handle their product. know what I'm saying. However not everyone has direct access to an RD dealer.
were not even close to a tpo6 inline set here in the usa. there still in the 90-100 range

yes on the header and the older 615 already has the longer one so if you have one of those you will be set with both.

ill be triing out the new legal pipe this weekend and will update everyone
on the differences with the new legal pipe vs the pipe that hara used to
will the roar nats. I can tell you the last pipe was awesome with the exeption
of a flat spot in the midrange. it had good bottom and topend. I think this new design will have a better transition from the lowend to high rpm range.

the old turbo pipe worked really well as long as you put a oring in between the header and the pipe.. it needed the extra 4 mm of length, we were having too much heat at the piston.. is the new pipe a bit longer or freer? the only place i noticed this issue was Ft Myers which we all know has an amzing amount of pressure on the motor..

for the money the rd have always been the ticket and they were kind enough to send us nextday air more pipes that we needed to our hotel room( we of course paid for it too) thanks so much and we will continue to use there products and expect great things from the new pipe.. thanks for the r&d dennis.

now can we make them out of something that will not bend and is lighter?

The new pipe is a whole new ball game, it looks similar but there are some significant changes I made internally and externally. The flat spot is gone! It also tunes much much better. I can tell you this that with just a pipe change I had to increase my shift point considerably higher as with the old pipe my car shifted at about the 100FT mark, with the new pipe it shifted 20 FT off the corner without changing anything. That means more power period!

Would it be possible to buy just the pipe without the header? To use the header of the previus pipe. Im talking about the 1 piece pipe.

Hi, Nitrodude:

So far, RDLogics will not sell the pipe only. Because they are limited production and designed by Motorman. I am very sure you will like the performance of this pipe.

Dennis:
I receive the package, I really like it. Thanks a lot.
