Whether the MTX4 rumor is true or not; this kit would be a bad decision since it is based on the MTX3 (IF the the new MTX rumor is true), BUT it does use a LiPo battery underneath the fuel tank and I am sure there may be a few more revisions.
The car is an absolute work of art, it's a shelf piece in my book. Something to brag and look about.

From what I can see the front is the same but you need to buy all the main parts to fit together (bulkheads, top braces for shocks, wishbones and accessories and the front bumper set).
There will be a complete MTX3 conversion set appearing later in the year from what I hear. Not sure what the price will be. Most of the alloy parts will be made from carbon based plastic for strength and lightness.

I wonder how those carbon fiber arms would hold up in a collision.

I wondered the same thing but after running tests on CAD (Autodesk Inventor 9) they are actually a lot stronger than plastic arms.

I think they would be stronger but more brittle. I also wonder if they flex and has an effect on how the suspension works. I think the track is the real test and hopefully I will see one soon.

Alloy knuckle is a bad idea since the bearing can become hot. I also already looking at this car, wow there is so much screw in there!! The number one which is not good I think is the ball diff and the tank but you replace to MTX3's

I will strip off all the suspension arms and replace them with MTX3 parts IF I buy this car.
