Default Looking for advice on this car. What is it

i got a guy on craigslist that wants to sell me this RC yes to me also it looks beat i just want to know what it is first. hes only asking 75 but not sure if its worth it.

Pic

to me it looks like a super nitro. Ive talked to the guy and he said there is 2 gallons of fuel through it and will show that it runs great. I know some sites still sell the super nitro so would parts be hard to find?

right i figured out what it was. its an old Super nitro but this guy said its only had 2 gallons through it but it looks like its been through hell. so i decided not to get it from him.

I do know there are a couple of places that still sell the Super Nitro such as http://www.hobbyfever.com/product_in...roducts_id=293 and they still carry parts for it.

It is an RS4-2, not a super nitro. Why? It is because they never made X-pattern tires for the Super Nitro, only slicks. The X-pattern tires are true 1/10th scale only and would not fit Super Nitro rims.

I would hold out and try to find an HPI Racer 2 instead.....It had better parts and ioptions as standard eqiupment and would make a perfect car for the HPI challenge in the vintage nitro class....

I still own 3 fully optioned racer 2 chassis, and I am converting them all to vintage cars...you can see them on my site under pics...

If you are into restoration of RC cars or just building a shelf queen, This site seems to still have parts for that car...in all its glorious purple aluminum.
