Default Kyosho inferno gt2 scond gear problems

I'm on my third second gear. It has been messed but i'm still haveing the second gear issue just not as bad as it has been. I did switch to a savage xl engine of my savage xl. Is there a cheap fix for the second gear in this car. The guy at the hobby shop sold me a gear for the inferno gt and the gear for the clutch bell. He said that this should fix the problem. I will try it once my three shoe fly wheel comes in.

Do a google search for Inferno gt forum. There you will find a wealth of information on the GT as well as several fixes for the second gear issue.

did you try swapping the bronze bushing for bearings?

Tighten the mesh a little. Or if you have the budget, invest in a Black Hawk tranny from Ipanema.

The Ipanema Black Hawk transmission is the best fix. I tried a HPI metal 2nd gear in my car and shattered 2 of them in one race day. Since I put the Ipanema Black Hawk transmission I have had absolutely no problems.

The Blackhawk transmission is more than just a few parts, it's a system.
Your best bet is to just buy the kit from an Ipanema dealer.
The kit will have you up & running fast with no headaches
