It could be the wrong glow plug, or the high and low needles in the carb.
It is not good for the engine to take that long to start. Bad on the piston/sleeve, and bearings.
Check the heat range of the glow plug, make sure your igniter is fully charged, and set the high and low needles back to factory specs.
If you dont have the manual handy, go to google, type in Traxxas, and you should be able to get the high and low needle settings

Don't hold the ez start button for too long! It's taking a long time to start because the neddles might be set up wrong. When I had the EZ start on my 4tec I would cover the pipe stinger with my finger and press the ez start button to prime the engine after the fuel reaches the carb it would start right up!!! press and hold for about 3 seconds. Try riching the hsn about 1/4 turn

Also make sure the wire from the ez-start to the glowplug is secure.
