Hello guys,

let me start by saying how much i envy alot of you because you guys live in the states, where its easy to attend the 2010 Winternats.

My name is Ali and i'm from Kuwait, that's 7300 miles away from Florida

i've been in the 1/0 nitro racing for a while and my dream is to attend one Florida Winternats race. i watched almost all the winternats clips available on you tube and on DVDs, i downloaded all the Xray NT1 set-up sheets for the track, i bought the VirtualRC just to race on the Fort Myers track. why do i love this race? i have no idea, i just think its the coolest onroad race ever

Jim might remmember me from an old email that i sent him asking about the possibilty for us to attend while beeing outside the ROAR block and he welcomed all the racers from Kuwait

Now, will i be able to make it to the 2010 Nats?? i hope so but its gonna be one hell of a complicated trip, i'll have to do 14000 miles in a week so i could come to Florida, race with you guys, and then get back to Kuwait not later than monday the 15th!!!!

i know its worth every mile and every penny of it and i hope everything goes where i want them to.

Hi Ali,

It can be done. I went to Turkey and it was the same situation and that was only for a 3 day race. Also with racing being done on Saturday you can make it. I think !! It will be costly though. Just the plane ticket is high. When I went to Turkey it was a full day of travel for me, 23 hours total to the track from my house. Good luck tring and maybe see you there.

If you manage to make the trip there will be plenty of people around to help you out. I can help pit or set-up or whatever you need even if you are running the wrong car

well as you said its a bit coasty and will take me also about a day to get to Ft myers, i'll leave Kuwait to NY to Tampa and then drive 2 hours to get to fort myers unless there is an airport in fort myers?? is there any??
ill try my best to come and see you guys, racing with you will be a big honor to me.

Wingracer, LOOOOOL, well i might need someone to pit for me since i'm thinking about coming alone in the worst Circumstances. and about me driving the wrong car, just forget that and pit for a friend

One last thing, if we get few days earlier than the 8th, is it possible to practice or will the track be closed??

Yes there is an airport in Ft. Meyers. I've flown into it a couple times myself, though not for the race.

hey Wingracer,

thanks for the info, i was just checking for tickets, well i think its not that expensive, a round trip from Kuwait to Fort meyers and back to Kuwait is around 1200$ which is fair enough. hotel or motel is around 600 for the whole stay and few more hundred bux as pocket money. i think with less than 2500$ i will be good to go

oooh i forgot one thing (TIRES)

maybe 500 bucks worth of tires .....!!
