If I make it, and I'm really trying, I would go with whatever Burch ran, 35F's and maybe 38's or 40's rear. I've been to a few track and he's pretty spot on with his tire choices. Normally if he's running a 40, I'll run a 38 because I don't drive as good as he does and I need a more stable rear end.
you are not wrong those are Ralph's set-ups from 08/09.

yeah am also thinking, 37s and 35s but everyone is sayin that the track had super grip last year, so 35s won't last long and traction rolling will be a huge issue. and if you are going to buy 4 different shores times 20 sets times 16 dollars a set = more expensive than my Kuwait / USA / Kuwait ticket

cheers

Ali

The traction has been incredible since the new concoction was introduced.

In the past sedan racers have resorted to cutting away the inside third of the rubber so that the fronts were too skinny to traction roll.

The year we repaved we had 1/8th scalers traction rolling. I would expect that the traction will be between excellent and extreme.

Hope to see you there

Looking at making this race for the 1st time. For 1/8 would you think similar tires to this years nationals at Toledo?

Also tire wear more or less that nationals?

Starting off you'll probably go with 32 fronts 35 rears or 35's all the way around, then as the traction really starts come up 37's in the rear. This is what we do,

But if you are Swauger-esque you will be running on rubber bands front and rear and doing a pit stop inside of 5 mins with 11.1 lap times and 26 laps

The tire wear at the Fort is virtually non existant, a set of tires could go through parctice and half the qualifiers.
