I'll let you know how we are making out. So far I have a car, a motor, fuel and a body. I am trying to find a twin stick surface radio for him to run.

You still don't have my registration yet I'm sending that down on wed you should have it friday.
Make sure he does not through that stuff out yet. If he has insurance they will give him money for everything that he shows proof of having damage in the fire.

On another note I have my spare m11 and servos he can use if needed.

If it is cold in florida again for a race I attended I swear I must be cursed!

For those leaving out of new york how is the tsa for carry on?

I usually fly out of ct and tsa has no problem with taking my radio and car as carry on I imagine the tsa in ny does a better job.

Thanks
Jamie

Hey Jamie:
TSA usually goes through my bags and sometimes takes some liquids. They don't like shoe goo and nitro spray and fuel obviously... I'm sending everything via Fed Ex ground these days. It's so expensive to pay excess baggage anyway...

I usually never take any chances with TSA for carry-on/check-in luggage. Imagine if you get to the airport and they refuse your stuff? Game over! If possible, I ship my "dirty" items (anything that touches fuel) to my hotel a week before hand to ensure arrival. And sometimes it's cheaper than the additional bag fee with the airlines. But then again, lost in shipping would suck too...make sure you insure it. I bring my radio box and a few other things on the plane.

It's snowing while I'm typing this...

Jamie:

I recently flew out to the Novarossi Race on the west coast last weekend. I flew with my Radio, and car. I have been flying to races now since 1999 and I have always done the same thing. Bring the car and radio on the plane, nice and clean with a new painted body. My theory is if that bag under the plane doesn't make it to my destination at least I have my Car and radio (completely ready to run, motor, electronics etc, no fuel ofcourse). When we arrived in LAX I found a letter from TSA inside my hard trunk case (which i checked in) showing that my bags were inspected etc. No harm, nothing missing.

To me shipping is absolutely crazy but who am I. You still pay fees to ship, you have to hang around to arrange to ship out after the race week is over. Let alone when you ship that item is hanging out behind some hotel counter unattended more than you can imagine. Unless your shipping with a company account number and not worrying about the cost what sense does it make? When I flew with the many A list celebs I worked with oH HELL YEAH I shipped items all over the WORLD with there account numbers.lol If i'm footing the bill i'll pay the extra baggage fees to have my items below me on the same plane that i'm on!
