I have a Futaba 3pk HRS running on 40mhz, I also have lying around the house a Hitec Lynx 3d on 40mhz and i use the Hitec crystal in my 3pk?

You can use the Hitec module in the 3pk, it don't lock completely in the housing but will work. I use it sometimes, you just don't have the HSR features.
