.12 or .21?

.12's go with the Piccos. Best bang for the buck there is.

21.'s well, not many really good ones for that price. JP P7 is or a stock Picco is about the best you can do.

I kno u said under $200, but Ive had Red Dots, and a couple of Tz's and this was my experience, Reddots fast but its hit n miss with the carbs and not much longevity, Tz's fast when new, motor will last but speed seems to go away with time, I suggest the stock JP firstline, barely over 200 and faster and easier to tune than both tz,reddot, im on my 3rd gallon and still cnt turn flywheel with hand while installed in car.........i race against many mod motors and the speed diff is not noticeable on our track!!!

Picco motors are the best band for the buck like someone said before!

You can also save up 50 bucks more and get a really nice engine! RB Concept R3, Novarossi, OS 12TZ and i'm sure theres a few other around that price range!
Xray NT1 '08 /'09 EC LRP12R / Serpent 720 '08 RB Concept V12, R3 RB mods, V12 Rody, Matrix RW / Serpent 733, 733TE RB T9 / EA RC8T OS .21 Vspec speed tuned / Kyosho Inferno GT, GT2 / EA SC10 / Serpent Cobra GT coming soon!

AGREED. I purchased this motor from Kamikaze and it runs great! I would recommend the PICCO 2651 matching pipe and header set later down the road.

I used my Skyline V12R pipe and header for a few tanks and it ran good (once it got tuned to it) but now with the new pipe and header it runs sooo much better.

I personally think you should spend money on the things that matter (engine, servos, radio, good starter box, etc) because later down the road you don't want headachs or be stuck replacing stuff AGAIN just to 'upgrade'.

I bought my car second hand off a good friend. But I have been out of it for a long time and didn't realize it was a 07 car. Kamikaze helped me out big time to get it updated with a ton of updated 09 parts and the new engine and pipe along a few other misc. things I've purchased to 'update/upgrade' the car.

You don't want to spend money later down the road to 'upgrade'...as long as you start off with good equipment .. doesn't have to be Pro or super expensive just 'good'. Considering your budget of course.
