How did the O.S. Engines look, are they getting closer to the speed of others?
You and Josh have a safe trip back.
Ira
I will be a very happy man soon in both classes now! Shimo's engine was very fast and very reliable also. Yakami-san from O.S. came with Shimo to help with testing and tuning. I have pics and I'll get them posted when we get home. The WC will be very interesting indeed if Shimo's speed is any indication of what is to come in August.
Call you when I get back.
Rick

Hi Josh
in your first post you said you drove over in a motor home. Does that mean that you used the camping grounds at the track. If so how did you find it. I am coming over from New Zealand for the worlds and have booked a camp site. Do they have power to all the sites there and how did you find the facilitys. Regards Andrew
We stayed at the campground in 2005 5th scale worlds... fantastic. they had power for motor homes, (2) separate shower facilities, and then market, and pizza in the village 1/4 mile.
just need to snag one of the rolling karts if they have them to haul your stuff back to the campground every night if you want to work on it. about 500' if you were in the back like us.
Here is what we rented in Munich and drove down

The camp grounds at the track were good. Electrical hook up, shower, restrooms, etc was all good. Not to mention the 8am wake up call of engines running is definatly a way to get you out of bed and moving...lol... I think a lot of people will do this for the WC. I would say about 40% of the entries from the Pre-WC did this. It was pretty laid back and overall a good time.
Thats great guys thanks for the reassurance that I made the right decision to go camping. I have friends in Provance that I am staying with before the event and they are trying to find me a tent to buy so I have something to sleep in. Will only need to find a laundry mat so I dont get back there after the event with 10 days worth of washing. Im sure my wife will not be happy about that. But from what you say it will be a great atmosphere in the camp ground. I am very excited about getting over there for the event, cant wait. Andrew
