just been watching it. Dario had it all done and dusted. 8 mins to go then it happened. i cant speak italian either, but i looked at the chat function after it happened. it was said a gearbox problem. maybe the one way hub issue ? i know they changed something on the car, in that area, and it lasted one more lap. maybe it was jamming up and stripping the first gear ?

i might be off from the topic, but rumor suggests that x ray is going to launch a 1/8 next year. if someone thinks nt1 is a shadow of mtx4, then what is it going to re-engineer next?,.......no offence
i personally owned a g4e when it was launched 2003. after building that car and running it, i put away my mtx3 because of its better handling.
however, i have been scared away by tea magic that they have changed or revised or updated too many versions in recent year.
in addtion to that, poor parts support is definitely a disadvantage in my country.

as good as the g4 rs 2009 might be, i probably will not buy it for fear of it becoming obsolete in a year's time... that happened to be with the g4rs 2008....

to those who has negative thought on TM. First of all you are right about TM changing the cars so fast. But you dont take in consider that, at this european champs, which car did the best lap and which car was in lead 2 sc ? I didnt see any Kyoshos and Serpents at finale? In my opinoin Xray NT1 is almost the same car as Mugen anyway. There were 50 odd Xray, 13-15 Mugen, 13-15 Kyosho and almost same number of Serpent drivers, and only 3 TM drivers at the champs. I beleive If even Dario Balestri ran the G4+ at this race he would win it. Maybe not by 2-3 laps but by a few seconds.
Altough TM changed the G4 over the years, you can easliy upgrade a 2003 G4 Evo to even G4+ Evo WC. ( I have done it! ) I dont know if you can do it on any other car.
And the new G4RS2009 is a completely new platform. After 6 - 7 years i think it is ok to announce a new car!

Haven't you been looking at Euros 2009 and in 2006 and 2007 it also won, completely dominating in 2007 Euros.
What makes a car fast ? And what are fast cars ?

You guys can go back n forth allday with cars being slow/fast by now you should understand that its not the car, its the DRIVER, Balestri is no dought 1 of the top 10 best drivers in sedan, check his lap times, everyone was capable of 16.2's and better, but he consistenly kept it there or faster......winning races is alot of skill mixed with alot of luck, when Balestri went out the 2nd most consistant driver stepped up to take the win!....

I am sorry to tell you that Balestri did not actually record fastest lap ... Dirk Weswotsit did a 16.123.
It is however true that Balestri was consitently fastest until his incident. He was very unlucky as he did seem to be cruising to victory by at least 2 laps.
Good to see the G4 on the pace though.
Xray did the usual .... flood the entry with drivers and by the law of averages you will have to get a result!!
And just for the record xray is massively popular in the UK... despite the overpriced spares !!!

and they did get their result!!
that was a good race and TM showed that against all odds they have a great car. By the way what happened to Team Serpent? Last I read they where doing good.
