i have to agree on 08 tweaking problems and wc upgrades. seriously cant wait to assemble my new RS.
just wondering, i was planning to tear down few parts from my front Wc upgrade . does the G4+evo front top alum brace fit? what about the hex hub?

It seems as though they have fixed many of the issues the 08rs had and it's good for racing to have another contender in the mix It's really starting to turn some heads

Harry, we only ran 3 heats and a 15 min final the weekend before last , that was enough to convince us to stay with TM...however I like the flex concept, very easy to remove 2 screws and have this...We really haven't had enough time with the '09 to test this yet.

The 4mm chassis is so much better than that "thin strip of aluminium foil" that was called a chassis on the RS08 that it's not funny...

It looks like now you don't need to check tweak after every run...no wonder TM released the WC kit for the RS08...

Ball ends , arms , actually all parts are a lot smoother fitting than the old car I was explaining to a mate, the difference between them (08 & 09) is pretty big....not just the looks.

Imagine having the drawings and concept to build a supercar - you give 1 set of plans to Daewoo so they build it , then give the same set to Ferrari, Mercedes Benz or BMW - similar concept, totally different outcome....

The RS09 seems - very strange to say this and I'll probably need to wash my mouth, "Xray-ish".... you'll see what I mean when you work on the car....excellent parts fit etc and best of all, works well with a kit set up .
Good to hear the out of the box build is not tight like previous models. Guy is away till the Saturday of the QLD's so we are parked until NSW. Look forward to catching up at Moorebank.. It's about time they all took a little more notice of TM brand on top of the bench and not the toolkits under them.

Cheers 2 Brendan as well...

One day Ill we hope to get down south and play Lola 1:10 with you both..

Hey FreeStyles:

You seem to spend a bit of time in here

Hows the Xray going? What did you have to rebuild when you got it?

Thanks

We are friendly at TM... Freestyles didnt have a great run at NSW titles and with the Xray gang there, making their claim to fame, he got caught in a rip. Just looked at the vids (posting atm-stay tuned) of his car in same heat as my son, the back end seemed too stiif/no droop and was swinging the rear quite badly. He almost AXED guy thru the Esses...you'll see his struggle.

I was caught up in meshing gears and dropped a pinion and it leaned us out.. 14 year old gave dad a well deserved serve...tail between my legs.. yes... still learning.

It was more a matter of no TM support and can understand his shift. There was 2 more seconds in his car at least. What he's gonna tell his wife when he says I want to sell Xray and buy the 09...would be more difficult than getting a G4+ sorted out so I wont be hassling my NSW garage buddy even if he is a TRAITOR!!!! I have a few spare TM stickers we can put on his shell.. that'll make it go faster!

joking about traitor..
