Colt 10 questions.

I received a Colt 10 from a guy I work with today. Its in pretty good shape, looks like he killed a diff or something else in the front tranny (very rough).

I know nothing of these cars and have found little online as of yet. Box says Colt 10 1/10 scale gas on-road racer, nothing else really about a model number or anything. It was sold as a RTR kit it appears with a Futaba radio, Magnum Junior it looks like.

I imagine its nothing special but it will be fun to kill some time out in the parking lot. Has a 2 speed tranny and a .15 it looks like (pull start).

If you could provide any details of where I could find more info it would be much appreciated.

Still havent heard anything back from Colt but the LHS carries all the parts for the shaft and belt versions of this car. If anyone else has one and is running in to problems finding parts I'm more than happy to ship them back to the states for you.

Car smoked the plastic housing for the gear diff in the rear, really poor design that will always give problems. Looks like the original owner ran in to something pretty hard as the input shaft to the front trannywas broke at the end where the e-clip locks the bevel gear on to the shaft. Shaft was spit out and the bevel gear rolled around in the front tranny housing doing a bit of damage. All the parts for the rebuild ran about $40 which wasnt to bad considering what all was needed. Parts for this car are quite cheap.

There was actually a car under all the dirt

Never be a race worthy car, perhaps in the novice class but the rear suspension has a lot of slop in it (all new ball studs etc but it didnt help) which will make the car very inconsistent.
