I had the same issue so I went back to my 2602 pipe

I just wanted to discuss the clutch issue in more detail if anyone had a minute or two...

I appear to have the clutch shoes that were drilled on the wrong side as well. I have run the clutch with the concave side towards the flywheel but I do not like the amount of delay in the clutch engage time. If I understand a previous poster correctly, I can put the concave side out so that the trailing end of the shoe is towards the back when the flywheel spins counter clockwise. I know that is a mouth-full. I dont know how to explain it any better so you have my apologies.

Serpent America, was this a production issue? Kind of strange due to the fact that the clutch was unchanged betweent he 720 and 733.

Did you run at Floyd? I got a chance to run at Chaplin on Sunday and the car is pretty close to where I want it. I am 2 tenths faster then I was with the 720. I got a good high traction setup but I am still looking for the right balance on low traction.

well i live in canada in toronto, and no local dealers wanna carry serpent here, so i am stuck ordering else where, wish there were dealers here, i always had serpent since the days of impulse,

ever since i assembled the diffs its continously leaking diff oil. Is it possible that i over filled it? I filled to the mark shown in the diagram. Im thinking to refill with the gears inside just above the shafts?

Mine do the same thing the first couple of runs after I build them.

Here's a nice item that help with it, though. You can get it through Grainger.

After building the diffs, put a bead of this around the seal and let dry.

With my 720 diffs i used high temp rtv silicone around the screws and the out drives and it worked well. You can get that from any autorparts store.
