Our next race is on Dad's day (6/21) so we'll be updating with some pics then....
We have a few more guys getting their nitro VTA's together for the 21st, so it is starting to catch on here....

Thanks rkhess
We're having a BLAST with our Nitro Vintage Trans Am class here in New Jersey!
Here is a video of a race we had at a local Nifty Fiftys restaurant in the spring....
We have about 15-20 cars total, and the list gets bigger every race!
Much like the USVTA (electric) we decided on using any nitro car/engine, but must use HPI Vintage tires (treaded) and wheels with a Vintage body.
The vintage tires are the "great equalizer" so it keeps big HP in check.
USVTA Body rules apply (period paint schemes, car numbers, etc.) except that we decided to use CLEAR touring wings to help keep the vintage look intact.

Hey GanG! Great day of Vintage/RCGT racing yesterday at Nifty Fiftys!
Awesome turnout, awesome weather, awesome spectators, awesome miLKshAKES!!!!!!!!!
Can't thank you guys enough for an outstanding day of promoting R/C racing to the masses!
So many spectators walked away with a lot of HPI Catalogs and website info, so they can follow us online! Quite a few wanted to join us in the future, so this is only the beginning to building up our onroad program, to what it was back in the day....
More new race faces as well....Nice to see more people in Nitro Vintage going with real retro bodies like a 63 Corvette, a 57 Chevy, and even a 61 Chevy Impala! How cRaZY was that????
All these body styles fits into the Nifty Fiftys theme, so this is a win-win for everyone!!!!
Here are the RayZults from yesterday....

Pulling this one up
Started messing with a nitro slash for my lunchtime laps. I put some spacers in the shocks and put a set of sway bars on it. For about a 30 minute run at the track alternating direction every fuel stop. Can only think of a NVTA class based on this platform. It's cheap, readily available and really nothing to it. Low investment high return kind of feeling with this one. Looking for some bodies for it at the moment. Late 60's early 70's style. I'm working out some 2.2 wheels and tires haven't got that figured out yet. Right now it lives as a 50's stock car with 1/8 scale wheels. Or maybe leave it open wheels and keep turning laps at lunch.
Anyone know where I can find something like the parma sct bodies?

I'm aware. Just messing around with an old idea. Don't see any on road racing and even less nitro on-road. Thought maybe a spec slash nitro would be fun to bash and race. Doesn't matter anyway can't get the sct bodies anymore.
