My DM-1 needs brake upgrade !!

I have a DM-1 Spec, the stock brakes a horrible.. I am mainly doing high speed passes using soft foam tires, so I need a strong braking setup...does anyone here have any suggestions for me ?

You may want to try running the dual glass discs and four
steel brake pads off of the CRT. To do this you will need
two longer screws to hold the set-up on.
If that set-up won't slow that Clocked .28 down fast
enough, then I think you are going to have to hook up
a parachute system to the third channel on your radio.
Ya got any Salt Flats up your way? Have a good day
Maximo. I gotta go work on the 1/1's and it's going to
be 90F. down here today.

Nitrohouse sells the optional CNC machined rotor and semi-metallic brake pads. This setup stops my DM1 Spec car very well on parking lots, my first prep'd race track test will be this weekend.

MY NEIGHBOR AND I MOUNT THE OFNA #36659 BRAKE PADS WITH A OFNA#36650 DISC BRAKE FROM A ULTRA WORLD II BECAUSE IT HAVE A LARGER DIAMETER.I HAVE TO ENLARGE THE CENTER HOLE OF THE DISC TO FIT IN THE COP JOINT.WITH THESE MOD NOW I CAN GO FULL THROTTLE LONGER IN THE STRAIGHT AND STOP THE CAR. :tire:

I tried this 2 changes on brakes with great success, in fact im using them no problem at all :

Option 1 : Go to www.avidrc.com and get Indo Phenolic brake discs for OFNA cars, and get a set of pads for Jammin buggy, great brakes in no time !.

Option 2 : Use the jammin buggy brake pads (only metalic thingy, no soft pad parts glued) and get a set of Hotbodies D8 Buggy disks, they fits right on, just a little larger in width and thats all, they get 3-4 brake attemps to get temp and start working good, after that no fade at all !.

cya !
