Default Nitro Onroad Truck Series

i had a crazy idea, stricty club level, not a keep up with the jones' class

heres the rules

1 any 1/10 nitro TC
2 any .12 or (rtr motor if in OEM car)
3 min ride height 5mm
4 HPI VTA tires on HPI vintage trans am/stock car rims F/26mm R/31mm
5 HPI touring truck bodies chevy/dodge/ford/v10
6 min weight requirement (TBD) ave of most rtr rc vehic AE,HPI,ofna... yes all the pro level cars would have to add weight

would you run it if it was in your area?...have anyone else tried it? do you think its a good idea? how could we make it better?

and yes its a knock off of T/A....sorry T/A guys but good ideas are allways copied

I like the idea of that. I talked to my local on road track about vintage t/a and I got shot down so im gonna talk to a few friends and see what they think about this. I think the trucks would look cool just wonder how well they turn.

with the wider wheels/traction compound and having a spoiler/downforce in the rear it actaully hooks up pretty good i tried it on a 9year old hpi rs4 was pretty suprized

asphalt justs needs to be blown off ...they hook up even better on preped asphalt!!!...soda's pretty cheap

thanks for your reply...keep me posted

Just got back into onroad with the new IGT class cars. I think a truck class will be cool, they look cool on the track, hell I'd run a truck body on my GT if I could find one that will fit.

Good luck, if I had a 1/10th sedan and had an truck class, I'm in.

thanks for the reply mauimax and good luck in the GT class it looks cool
we should have some video soon 2 show everyone of what these trucks can do... theres 3 of us trying to start this thing and no one really races onroad nitro in our area ...plus where big time 8th scale offroad guys

we really just want to burn more nitro.....nitro touring is the class that got me hooked into rc over 10years ago .....and i dont like the fact nitro onroad has lost some popularity...i think spec classes are saving our hobby right now

just my opinion

Here in the uk we run a ic truck class at our nationals, it's not really popular but have to say they are really fun to drive and handle suprizingly well, as for turn in, they will turn on a sixpence you've got get the backend planted. Serpent make a truck shell that's wot we run over here
