Airtronics M8 crystal help???
 

I recently purchased an M8. I used to have a JR XS3 synthesized radio. Now that I have the M8, I do not know how to change the crystals. I want to buy other crystals so as to avoid conflict with others. Can someone help me? I cant even find the transmitter crystal. It sounds stupid but I hope you guys can help. Thanks in advance.

I had the same question as you when I first got my M8. To change the transmitter crystal, peel off that "cap" on the module and replace the crystal. The cap looks like it is plastic or metal, but it is really a foil-like tape covering the crystal. You'll know what I mean when you peel it off. I know, it looks almost like Airtronics sealed the crystal access. Really, you just need to take off the cover. Hope this helps.

Yeah just peel the small cover on the module off. If you still have your JR fm rec. you can use it with your M8. I use a Novak Switch module and JR Syn. FM Rec. and love it!! No more crystals. :) Hope this helps!
