Default STS D5 Turbo VS Novarossi JP S3

i have a Nova Jp s3 right now and ive been running it for about a year . I think im going to need a new engine pretty soon so
i was thinking a STS D5 turbo but i dont want to buy something slower than what i got. So do you think the D5 will kep up with the JP or go faster,,, Or is it going to be slower.

THANKS any help will be great!!!

the d5 will be slower than the JP, i would get a novarossi ns12. They are the best bang for the buck

..and how in the world would you know what's faster?

Did you own both engines for a head to head comparison?

I"ve had my d5 long enough to break it in. I can tell that motor screams! Pretty fast already at very rich settings....never ran a JP so can't tell ya...

YOu have to look at it's value though..for that price...it's a killer deal!

Just because you see 2 cars running on the track, and one is faster than the other, that doesn't mean one engine is faster than the other... You have to consider the tunning of the engine, oil content, pipe, gear set up, car set up, tires.. many things!
I believe only a torque/RPM graph of the two engines can tell you the story...

speaking of most bang for your buck, NS12 is in the league of its own ( price wise ) we are talking about $250 for a NS12 Vs $150 for the D5..you choice is obvious.

The D5 is only going to be for club racing at my local.
When i go out to a diffrent track i wil wack the JP S3 in.

..or maybe you won't

What if your D5 beats your JP? Wouldn't that be something?

yes, and that IMO would be very very likely.

dont underestimate STS products, if they were twice the price, I think that most people would regard them more highly

Yea people tend to think that the more expensive products tend to be better..
Anyway. I think it would be NICE if D5 kicks JP's ass, saves money for MANY people!!

Hehehehee
Here in Hong Kong NovaMax is less that 100USD more than JPs, (around 280USD) and its likely that it performs better than JPs and D5 in most circumstances... So the choice is clear..
However I only have 8 minutes of nitro experience... hehehehe so I won't be buying any engine for a while...

Im speaking from what ive heard about the JP engines, and that is that there life is so short that it is a waste of money buying one, i would get the D5
