I guessed you have seen lots of pix from the SAC2004.
Sorry no video about Salven's clinic, because there was no clinic at all ....
MS arrived on Friday late afternoon and after watching people on the track for a while, he run his 710 a few tanks to find the basic setup for the new car on that particular track. I noticed he used basic setup (Yellow springs etc.) in the first run. In the second run, the most noticable changes was the removal of the FRONT Anti Roll Bar. I could tell you that every one was struggling with understeering with their touring cars during the week. The track traction was unusually high (a bit too much..).
MS spent most of his time watching people running their cars on the track, then helped racers checking their car setup, tuned engines (any engines i.e. not only NovaMEGAs but all including Maxxes). MS was cool and friendly. He was not afraid of using other local driver setup.
On Saturday during the qualifyings, he was quite impressed by one of the local Thai racer's 710 (not Suruth) and immediately went over the racer bench to check the setup and told the guy that he was indeed impressed and would try that set-up.
MS was not scheduled to race at all, but following the popular demand, he decided to join the A-Main starting in 11th.
If I remember correctly, the start of the A Main touring was clean and by the first pit stop MS was already running in 3rd. The local racer who impressed him was running a strong 2nd position (starting only in 5th due to engine cut offs during qualifyings) until the Maxx flamed out in the later stages. MS's engine also flamed out just before the 2nd or 3rd pit stop. He used a prototype Nova MEGA.
But it was Suruth's domination. He drove a perfect race and had the best setup configuration. No one was able to challange him, not in the qualifyings not in the race.
