Hi Cameron so far the Velox v10 has been pretty impressive.
I got one of the last 2014 spec kits which came with the new 2015 team edition chassis. i have updated some of my parts to new the 2015 spec including the lightweight 2 speed shaft and the updated ackerman plate which really transformed the car giving it more steering and better stability.

Setup wise its pretty close to stock except for heavier diff oils, 300k front and 100k rear. black springs which are super soft compared to the kits soft. 2.2 instead of the 2.3 stock front sway bar. after 4 race meets and about 2 practice sessions i am still using the original spurs and pinions and i cant see any wear in the shafts so quality looks good.

Maintenance on this car is easy with just 4 screws to easily remove diffs. the wheel axles can be easily removed by removing a big snap ring. the tank comes out by removing 2 body clips so you can easily clean underneath.

some recommendations:
- brass battery tray. this car is light! i use a low profile throttle servo and full size steering servo with life battery and my car weighs 1640 on blank rims so i have also added thebrass tray an additional 10g weight for balancing.

- aluminium diff pins will save you an extra 10 gram off the driveline

- shorter gear ratio. the kit pinions are a bit tall for our aussie tracks.

Excellent car. Like all Shepherd cars this one works best with heavy diff oils. 80 to 100k rear and 200 to 30th front. Went through all possible diff oil combinations and I am now using 100k rear and 300k front. Installed all possible option part and had to add on weight. So brass tray is compulsory especially if you use low profile servos.

Looking good Cameron, nice screw kits, where did you get them from?

Do you think they will fit XRAY cars?
I believe the 2 outside pulleys on the nt1 are 25-19 and the inside pulleys are 18-19. Has anyone switched to this car from xray? WHat are your thoughts and comparisons between the 2?
Really like the design of this car, but very little support in my area
