Well guys, just to share a little of my experience during the 6th Pacific Cup in Lima - Peru last week (Feb. 28th to March 4th). This is my third time attending the race, first time with Velox V10 and last 2 years i didnt even made semifinals, this year i not only made semis but went up to finals and ended on 5th place after the 1 hour A-Main. Personally happy with the overal result and car performance, but i was heading for 3rd place but i lost some laps due to loosing the small springs that join the header and engine pipe ... but anyway great experience.

After almost 11 months with the car, FIRST TIME EVER i got the problem of the 2nd speed pin falling apart, that was the ONLY problem during a 4 day event ... this is a very challenging track, with lots of elevation changes and track angle chances, with lots of traction at sea level so the engines goes to maximum performance ...

Almost 40 drivers on the class and with high level ones as DJ Apolaro, Paolo Morganti, Hermann Saa, J Castellanos, etc ... so VERY VERY HAPPY ...

Here is a little video with my pass on the 1/10 Nitro Sedan class, IFMAR rulebook based ... thanks to my pitman, great work !!! (Marcelo Echeverria, EG Hobbies owner in Chile) :

http://youtu.be/jzW5Bj-Xjow

If anyone need any info, let me know,

regards,

shepherd needs to give better tech support for the few racers the run this car. this is in no way of bashing shepherd at all. i am just pointing out that there are other manufactures out there that give a lot of support for there product. please pass this overseas to Germany. Thanks

First of all, let me know where you come from!
We always try our best, to give support where ever is needed.
At all mayor events in Europe we are present, missing no EC and WC since Shepherd exist!
Also in the U.S. i was present last 2 On-Road Nationales and also last 2 Winternationales at the Fort with European Top-Drivers in my luggage.

You can ask many Drivers here if they ever get no answer on a question.

Traveled to Hongkong, Malaysia, Argentina, China, Japan........

If you missing anything let us know, we are really interested to make something better!

BTW check out the attached picture.....

hey i am not bashing Shepherd in no way. i think that you have a great platform. i just was wondering why their isn't more tech info posted like current team driver setups things along that nature. i am just a local racer and i consider my home track to be Blue Diamond park in New castle Delaware. i do get help from two of the guys that race at that track Tory and Gmac they give me plenty of help. and no i don''t travel the world to race rc cars not that good yet, but if you feel like sending some sponsorship my way i am sure i can travel

Got you loud and clear. We'll see what we can do to have a single place like http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/SetupSheetDataBase.htm but just for Shepherd w/ setup sheets.

As far as tips and tricks I think the Velox community has been pretty open about the go fast techniques they use. I check in here pretty often and learn quite a bit reading about some of the things others do.

Unfortunately that is no replacement for traveling as I've learned over the years sometimes you have to take that trip to another track even if you don't think you are very quick yet. Trust me when I tell you i have time sheets where I was dead last =D, but I keep at it and I'm definitely getting quicker.
