Exclamation Velox V10 (2011) clutch setup instruction

I'm almost done assembling my Velox V10.

I have a very difficult time with the clutch to engage. It can't engage. I'm working with my local hobby shop tech guy.

Do any of you guys have some instructions/guidance on how to setup the clutch ?

I contacted Patrick and the distributor in the US. And no replies from them.

I attached the information I found on Team X-ray website. Do you know if I can use the same setup instruction ?

Thanks

How far do you have the clutch nut tightened down? What is your gap between the shoe and bell housing? Can you take a picture of the clutch installed?

I used the instruction from the X-Ray NT1 instruction book. It did the trick.

The tech support engineer from my local hobby shop did the work.

The Xray book is more specific with the instructions on setting the clutch. For the Shepherd clutch a good place to start with the measurments is:

Clutch gap .40 to .50 Then fine tune from there
Spring tension. .35 to .45 then fine tune depending on track conditions.

We visited the Shepherd factory in Germany and got an insight into what they are planning for the V10, take a look at this interview and we have some photos going up in a few days as well!!

Needless to say the Shepherd team was HUUUUUGE in Germany.

Bigtee.
I have used it since we were in Germany. The rear of the car is more stable now and produces more grip. I have not raced on a track yet that I was using the old style so it is hard to compare. When I race again at Blue Diamond I will have more info for you.
