Bundy,
Where are you getting that length from? I do not see it anywhere on the Website or the manual? I just built a set of those shocks and i have one thread showing on the piston.
Let me know.

Set your front downstops to the most droop you will run, then set the shock length slightly longer than max droop.

Andrew,

I just checked mine and the rears measure 74.8mm and the fronts are 69mm. Thats with the original Shepherd ball ends.

The ball ends are screwed roughly half way on the threads.

Still nice and strong and still plenty of adjustment if needed and they work with whatever droop i'm running.

Hope this helps.....

They do. There is a long and a short. Front is short and rear is long.

I read a a few pages back about the ball ends on the shocks rubbing the inside of the rim when the wheel is at full lock. I noticed this weekend when I was out that mine did too. Has anyone solved this issued? Even with a slight rub the car does not seem to have enough steering throw. I moved the shocks to the inner hole and that allowed me to dial up the DR alot which helped. There are other things I need to do to get more steering but the ball ends rubbing concerns me. Coming from the Xray it had alot more steering throw.

Thanks in advance!

Andrew:

Sorry was just trying to be funny, I didn't know the G4 was that fragile? Anyway i have run a tank through that motor on the run in bench and it has started to loosen up nicely. Think it is time to install it into a car for track time
