Back home again from Ettlingen,
we had some nice weather all day and could try a lot of things on all cars.
Strange thing is that we get back to the Cruizer body because the car was so much better with his body and all the other guys also used it.
So we tried some things at the car, but nothing special.
We used the Shepherd tyres, 37 in the rear and 35 in the front, and the car was really good. Marc could do pretty good laptimes, but Patrick and Martin could not go the same speed. They missed about 0,3 to 0,4 !!!
After we changed the engine from Marc to Patrick it was just 0,1 !!
So control is nothing without power
As all the guys runs the Cruizer thing Marc and i decided to try the Audi again as this was always the favorite body for Marc at all the tests before.
We did it, and i think he could do the fastest laptime with a 13,52sec in the heat of the afternoon, so sure he will stay with the Audi.
Patrick then testes the Cruizer, and he was pretty fast with this ugly body and could also run 13,6sec.

So at the end we are very happy as we are on the same speed then the other super fast guys, or even a little bit faster, but we have to wait for the qualification heats, i will let you know.

Until then i wish you a nice time, tomorrow i will have a break as i have to go to a wedding party from my niece !!!

So stay tuned, on sunday i try to show you the setup of the cars and bring you the results.

Alex

Your charger needs to be able to charge LiFe.
Go to hobbyking.com, and buy the turnigy accucel 6, it gives all you need.... (it's a 12V charger)
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...w/_accessories

Power supply, in case you don't have on:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ly_100~240v_5A

Get additional some balance extension cables, easy to use in case of charging....
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9735

Yes, Mushroom has it, I've ordered it from them as well.
http://www.rc-mushroom.com/product_i...ducts_id=18240
Normal NiMh weight around 125Grams
This LiFe weight 72.....

They also have a good charger:
http://www.rc-mushroom.com/product_i...ducts_id=20123

But no extension cables, like Hobbyking.

Hi,
Is there anyone who use the Shepherd tires on their car? How are them?
Can anyone measure the weight and lenght of the front(and rear) driveshafts?

Thanks!

I run the shepherd tires, and they are really good, they are produced by ennetti in italy, and they have been in the industri for some years, really good quality on the tires.

I also use the cruizer body on my V10, but i think its pretty nice actually

Default Another excellent race day

Second time out with my V10
and I can say it WoW
this car is freakin nuts.....
even with a basic setup the car handles well....it wants to be pushed.

the only thing now is to keep the car from washing the rear end out on high speed turn (at end of straight).

The car just felt planted everywhere on the track.

The receiver box is a must in my opinion. kept everything neat and well protected.

I'm very sorry Gigabyte, I don't have a Velox....
I just hopped in and gave you some wrong information.
I didn't notice that the Velox has a strange battery configuration......

If you want, you can send the battery to me, and I can pay for it via PayPal.... please send me a PM if you like to.
